Editing your case report

Change the title, solution, outcome, and success rating of a case you've already created.

Not verified yet

You can come back and update a case report after it's created. Open the case from your profile and choose to edit it — you'll land on the "Edit Case" screen.

What you can edit

From the "Edit Case" screen you can change:

  • Title
  • Solution (your detailed solution description)
  • Outcome (the result of your solution)
  • Success rating

This is the place to add a solution you've since worked out, update an outcome as a situation develops, or correct the success rating.

Save your changes

The buttons depend on whether your case is already published:

  • If the case is published, you'll see "Edit", which saves your changes and keeps it published.
  • If the case is private, you'll see both "Edit" (saves and keeps it private) and "Edit and publish" (saves and shares it with the community).

The demographic and classification fields — age, sex/gender, frequency, country, diagnoses, and so on — are set when the case is first created and aren't changed from this screen. If you need different demographics, that's a sign it's really a different case.
