Creating a case report
Start a new case report by choosing whether you need help or have a solution, then write it out or upload an audio recording.
A case report is a real-world write-up of a student situation: the challenging behaviour you faced, what you tried, and how it turned out. Creating one takes just a few minutes, and Edustories does much of the heavy lifting for you with AI.
You can start from the "Upload Case" screen, titled "Share your experience or get help".
Step 1: What do you want to do?
The first choice is about your situation. Two cards are offered:
I need help
Tell us about your problem and we'll suggest a solution using AI. Use the "Enter problem" button when you don't have a solution yet.
I have a solution
Upload your case and inspire other users. Use the "Share case" button when you already know what worked (or didn't).
The difference is simple:
- "I need help" (the "Enter problem" button) is for situations you are still working through. The AI will suggest approaches you can try.
- "I have a solution" (the "Share case" button) is for cases where the outcome is already known. You will get an extra space to describe your solution and its result, so others can learn from your experience.
Whichever you choose, you still get the full set of benefits: upload by audio or text, AI-generated solution suggestions, the option to share with the community, and the option to keep your case private.
Step 2: How do you want to add it?
After picking your intent, the "Upload Case" dialog asks how you'd like to enter the details:
- "Fill in writing" — type or paste your case into a form.
- "Upload audio file" — record yourself in the browser or upload an audio file, and let the AI write it up for you.
Both methods end up in the same place: a complete case report in your profile. Voice is fastest when you want to talk through a situation; writing gives you fine control over the wording.
Private or shared
Nothing is published until you decide. You can save a case as "Private" (a personal draft only you and administrators can see) or publish it so the whole community can read it. You can change your mind later from your profile. See Statuses and publishing for the full picture.
