Getting started

What is Edustories?

An introduction to Edustories — a platform of anonymized, real-life educational case reports, with AI help, EduPlay, Training, VR, and an AI Assistant for educators.

Verified June 23, 2026

Edustories is a platform for educators built around case reports — anonymized, real-life stories of challenging classroom and behaviour situations, together with the solutions that were tried and how they worked out. Instead of abstract theory, you get concrete experiences shared by other teachers, and a set of tools to learn from them and contribute your own.

The project is run by Masaryk University to help teachers, and especially student teachers and those starting their careers, prepare for and handle difficult situations with students.

Who it's for

Edustories is made for educators and special-education professionals — teachers, teaching assistants, school counselors, special pedagogues, psychologists, and student teachers. If you face challenging student behaviour and want practical, lived experience to draw on, this is for you.

What you can do

  • Write your own case reports — describe a situation by voice (record or upload audio) or by text, and let the platform's AI help turn it into a clear, structured story.
  • Browse the library — search and filter a shared database of anonymized case reports contributed by other educators.
  • Get AI-suggested solutions — see solution ideas generated across several well-known pedagogical approaches.
  • Find similar cases — discover other reports that resemble yours in meaning, not just in keywords.
  • Play cases in EduPlay — work through real cases interactively, make choices, and see how they could play out.
  • Practise in Training — rehearse communication skills in guided practice sessions.
  • Chat with the AI Assistant — ask questions and get help navigating cases and ideas.

There is also a Virtual Reality offering for stepping into simulated classroom situations with a headset and a facilitator.

Bilingual: Czech and English

Edustories works in both Czech and English — the interface and the case-report content are available in both languages, with content translated automatically so the library is usable either way.

Public and private

You decide what is shared. Published case reports are visible to everyone in the shared library, while your drafts, private cases, and personal saved items stay private to you.
